The construction is exactly what built the uniform: a soft beige lambskin body cut on a clean slingback last, a contrasting black grosgrain cap toe that elongates the foot in photographs, an adjustable elasticated slingback strap and a leather-stacked 65mm block heel. The interior is leather-lined with a padded insole. The two-tone palette was designed in the sixties to make the foot read smaller and the leg longer.
