The Chloé Lauren is the brand's nineties-revived ballet flat — a deep black calfskin slip-on with the brand's hand-stitched scalloped topline running around the throat of the shoe, a small almond toe and a thin leather sole. Made in Italy.

The construction is romantic and pared back: soft black calfskin moulded into a slipper-soft shape, the signature Chloé scalloped edge worked in fine tonal stitching, a leather-lined interior with padded insole and a paper-thin leather sole that softens through wear. The colour reads office-and-evening rather than spring-summer.

The Lauren is the maison's most-quoted archive flat and the easiest entry into a Chloé wardrobe — sweet without being precious, formal without being stiff.
